Dr Huber's practice offers unique benefits to patients facing periodontal surgery, including progressive techniques for increased healing and comfort.
One such technique is known as Autologous Platelet Concentrate (APC), which is composed of platelets and plasma collected by Dr Huber from the patient 15 minutes before surgery. Platelets from blood are cells that contain large reservoirs of natural growth factors. These growth factors stimulate the healing process and promote development of new blood vessels in the surgical site. These concentrated platelets may be applied during several types of surgery Dr Huber performs.
Also, the patient has the opportunity to select the type of anesthetic most appropriate for his or her comfort level:
